Convertly was founded with a single conviction: performance marketing should be measured by the revenue it creates, not the impressions it delivers. Twelve years and £2.4 billion later, we're still running by that rule.

Where we came from

Convertly started in 2013 as a two-person paid search consultancy. Our founder Alex Hartley had spent five years inside a major ecommerce retailer watching agency after agency present vanity metrics while commercial performance stagnated. He left to build the agency he wished had existed.

The first three clients stayed for an average of seven years. That retention rate, which still sits at 91% today, tells you everything about how we work. We become embedded in our clients' commercial teams. We share in the wins. We're accountable when targets aren't met.

Today we're a team of 78 specialists across six performance marketing disciplines, working with brands from Series A start-ups to FTSE 250 enterprises. The conviction that started it all hasn't changed: we're here to drive revenue, not to run reports.
